Redline International Film Festival was founded as a passion project by Canadian indie filmmakers. Having begun on the filmmakers side of the festival experience, Redline's founder's grew tired of how the festivals they had been submitting to seemed exceptionally focused on selecting a large quantity of films rather than worrying about overall quality, and payed very little attention to promoting the filmmakers they we're selecting.  Because of this, they decided to create their own competition with a focus on promoting filmmakers and their works, as well as upholding a high quality selection standard. At Redline, we strive to utilize this focus on quality cinema and artist promotion to shine a light on the films and filmmakers that the mainstream media frequently overlook and undervalue. Through our monthly competition, we aim to promote those who create art through the medium of film and continue to push the envelope in artistic creation.

Redline International Film Festival is currently a monthly short film festival and competition based in Toronto, Canada aimed at rewarding and promoting the best of the worlds indie short films. We aim at being a mark of excellence for the films selected and awarded by our judging team and take pride in promoting the talented indie artists from around the globe. We hold a private jury-screening on a monthly bases where we showcase the top films of the month. Our hand-selected jury then vote to decide the winner for the "Jury's Choice | Best Short Film" award.  Other judge selected award categories can be found under our "Awards" page.
